MARCH 2005 - PRACTITIONER TRAINING SPECIAL OFFERP R E S S R E L E A S E FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE 8 MARCH 2004 Lancashire Ambulance Service NHS Trust is pleased to announce that they have now begun work on a purpose built Pre-Hospital Care training centre in Preston, Working in partnership with Professional Protection Systems Ltd (PPS), one of the leading suppliers of decontamination equipment, the CBRN PRACTITIONER course enables organisations that have PPS equipment to receive instruction in the correct method of operation. Many organisations have purchased the equipment yet due to their increasingly busy workloads have yet to test the equipment, let alone begin a robust training programme. Upon completion of the course, delegates will be able to identify all of their equipment, and be competent in the erection and breakdown of decontamination shelters, the installation of generators, blowers, water heaters and associated equipment. The syllabus culminates in a practical exercise allowing all participants the opportunity to practice a mock decontamination scenario. If you are developing a training and maintenance programme for your PPS equipment, then this training should form an essential part of it.
